Enoch Arts Night

Enoch Arts Night (Title 1 Family Engagement Night) for Enoch Elementary in the Iron County School District under the direction of BTSALP Visual Arts Specialist, Kirsten Anderson, Principal, Daniel Ekker, and Reading Specialist, Marcy Christensen was held on Monday, February 10th. It was a wonderful night FULL of creativity and fun! Paper Circuits at Southern Utah University

Lindsay Balfour is a paper engineer and designer who explores the mechanics of paper used in pop-up design, paper craft, and sculptures. She integrates electronics in her work to showcase technology as a tool and material to enhance ideas for creative expression. As an educator and an artist, her work is an example of the intersection between fine art, physical computing and fabrication techniques. Arts Fusion Reflections by Kirsten Anderson

Southern Utah University The first day of the Arts Fusion camp was very informative and effective on getting us to stop, look, and listen to the world around us.  First, we went out in nature and looked for patterns found around the SUU cabin.  We noticed sound patterns and recorded them, as well as visual patterns found in trees and other natural objects.  We made a lot of really interesting observations that I never knew about.
